A child’s behaviour is often an attempt to communicate UNEXPRESSED NEEDS or EMOTIONS, but they don’t have the language for it. Instead of wasting time trying to change the behaviour, it makes more sense to teach children emotional literacy

Teaching emotional literacy is the best way to support a highly sensitive child who feels the world through their heart on a much deeper level. By listening, validating, labeling and helping them make sense of their inner world, they become more emotionally resilient.

I created The Energy Pod as a safe place where highly sensitive children can ‘work out’ their emotions. Just like you would work out your body at the gym. In our stressful lives, and especially after a global pandemic, it’s essential to take care of your-lovely-sensitive-self and prioritise your emotional wellbeing every single day. The Meltdowns are Rare
