Week 13 Creativity

You can’t solve a problem with the mind that created it!

In this super fun class we talk about how we can use creativity to approach problems and obstacles differently. We then get all creative – so you’ll need your pens and journal –  with a simple drawing exercise. This reveals our personal qualities and strengths which come in handy when we are in a tricky situation. We sometimes forget they are there, so this is very empowering. Imagine leaving the class knowing that you can handle the tricky stuff and you always have a choice! Wow!

Week 14 Mistakes

I’ve learnt so much from all the mistakes I’ve made, I’m thinking of making a few more!

In this super fun class Smiley takes you on a journey to transform the uncomfortable feelings of frustration, shame, guilt or embarrassment that can be sparked when we make a mistake. It’s very empowering for all of us to know that making mistakes is part of our learning as human beings and if we aren’t making mistakes, then we are quite possibly not living our life to our full potential.

In life, we will meet people who are unkind. We can’t rid the world of meanies, but we can learn how to deal with them. We may also be hard on ourselves and say unkind things when life doesn’t go according to plan. Learning self compassion at such a young age is super important because the way we treat ourselves shows other people how they can treat us.

Week 17 Being Alone

Being alone isn’t the same as feeling lonely

It’s healthy for us to grow up appreciating our own company and being comfortable in our own skin. Week 18 Guilt

Week 19 Respect

Respect is believing you are worthy of being treated well

Does your child struggle with friendships? Does your child pick meanies who want to pick arguments? Is your child the odd one out or the 3rd wheel in another friendship drama? Children who don’t respect themselves are drawn to these types of relationships.

Relationships reflect back to us how we see ourselves, so when we don’t respect ourselves we will also gravitate towards or unconsciously choose friendships which are a mirror of our self image. In this super fun creative class we explore resepct in more detail through drawing and talking.

Week 20 Patience

Patience is a learned skill and needs practice

How good are you and your child at waiting? Taking turns, waiting for others to finish talking, long car journeys, learning something new? This is a great life skill and comes in handy when it comes to your feelings too.

Do you act on your feelings (react) or sit with your uncomfortable feelings so you can respond? This class will teach you how to start out small and take your time every day. There is no rush. It’s not a race. That’s hard when the rest of the world seems to be operating at 150 mph!

Week 21 Gratitude

Great for Worry Warts, Glass Half Fullers and highly critical people.

Lost of us have a tendency don’t we, to notice what is wrong, what’s missing or what we cant to change? This is because our brain wants to keep us safe. Yet sometimes, there is nothing to fear.

This means we’re living in the future or in the past but not truly appreciate what is going on around us in the moment.

In this class we see that switching our thinking and creating a daily gratitude habit can make us feel instantly better. Our energy is less fearful. It also helps us to see the good in each other.
