How are you holding up in this heat?

I’m crazy about the rain. You’ll mostly find me wandering the freezer aisles of Waitrose trying to stay cool or washing my feet in the sink. *classy*.

I had a wonderful day out at Chessington World of Adventures with my niece. The sheer joy on her little face was priceless! It’s hard to stay cool isn’t it when the kids are around all the time?

I wanted to do a quick round-up of July to make sure you haven’t missed a thing.

Here are the Top 5 Smiley Summer Delights you don’t want to miss:

1) KEEP YOUR COOL THIS SUMMER HOLIDAY

Over on the blog, you’ll want to read  5 Things Stuck Between Two Worlds’ Can Teach Us About Anger and 3 Sure Fire Ways to Spoil your Summer Holiday (free summer survival guide included)

2) BEAT THE BOREDOM!

Catch up with the podcast’s latest episode  – #32 The One with the Best News Ever! You could also make a vision board or enjoy this relaxation in the garden.

3) PRACTISE FEELING GOOD WHEN YOU FEEL GOOD

When we lose it, we can’t access the thinking part of our brain! Don’t use the summer hols as a sticking plaster for all the pressure of school that drives you crazy because when you go back….it will still be there and you’ll still feel the same.

You can change that – with my new ‘Ultimate Feel Good Bundle’ – how to help your child make sense of their anxiety & anger with practical ways to soothe those feelings, so you can feel more like yourself again!

4) GET SOME FREE SMILEY COACHING

Join the book club – it starts on 7th August. All you need to do is buy a copy of the book (it’s £2.39 on Kindle and FREE on Kindle Unlimited) Did I mention it was free?…..!!!!

5) CUTENESS OVERLOAD

This gorgeous video of a Dad and his little son went viral and I took to the blog to talk about how this type of parenting approach is what develops good self-esteem and confidence.

I’m currently enjoying some 80s nostalgia courtesy of Whitney’s new song ‘Higher Love.’  I remember it the first time around with Steve Winwood! Please say you do too. If you were a child of the 80s/90s you will love this blog post about how Pretty Woman taught us to tolerate toxic relationships.

You rock! Stay cool people!
