Every week, I jump on line and via the magic of Facebook Live answer your burning questions about all things children. I use the priceless and valuable insights from my coaching room and transform them into practical and helpful tools so you can give your child what they need to flourish in life.
This week we hear from an exhausted Mum and a separated family who can’t seem to nail their bedtime routine. We’ve all been there.
I have two children aged 5 and 7. My husband and I separated a year ago but all of a sudden my 7 year old son seems to be really struggling with missing his dad.
He’s quite sensitive anyway, has always been a worrier and terrible sleeper but these last few months, we are having real problems with it and nothing we seem to do or say helps.
It takes him a long time to settle and we have the whole up and down to the toilet, getting a drink of water or calling out for me way into the evening. Meanwhile the little one is disturbed by all the noise and sometimes I’m up with both of them til later.
To be honest it’s getting exhausting especially for me. It’s me that they live with so me that has the nightly issue of him not sleeping in his own bed.
